Plot[]

Dawn was walking to the kitchen when she heard a scream coming from it, followed by some of the cooks running out in a panic. Investigating, the redhead found Alec extinguishing the stove, splattered with a charred disaster that was supposed to be part of tonight's dinner. When asked what happened, Alec angrily explained that one of the cooks left the stove unattended, causing a fire and ruining one of the main parts of the main course.

Dawn, never having seen Alec this angry before, comforted him, the merman calming down almost immediately as he looked at her. However, he immediately backed up in embarrassment and said that he needed to fetch more ingredients. Dawn offered to help, but he politely declined.

While picking up the vegetables, Alec sensed someone with him, looking around skeptically before he was immediately knocked out. Waking up, he found himself in Sariel's old hideout, the angel approaching him smugly and telling him that Dawn would be here shortly.

That evening, Dawn noticed that Alec was not present, judging by the simple dinner made because of his absence. When she went to investigate, she discovered a note instructing her to go to Sariel's old hideout and that a surprise was waiting for her. She immediately grabbed her trident, heading on her way without informing anyone. She approached the hideout, Sariel there to greet her while inflicting wounds on Alec.

Sariel offered her a deal: either she gave him the trident so he could let Alec go, or the two friends would see how much pain the young cook could endure before dying. As he hurt him continuously, his wounds kept opening before they could fully heal. Dawn, unable to take seeing her dear friend in so much agony despite hesitating to let go of the one thing she used to protect her family so many times, finally offered Sariel the trident.

The greedy angel took it, the weapon beginning to overpower him. He summoned chains on Dawn that rendered her motionless and unable to use her powers, grabbing her and teleporting away with her while leaving Alec behind.

The terror has only begun...
